WCAG Checker Script

The problem

When the cooperation between the State Treasury and Paytrail began, there was acute pressure to ensure the accessibility of the products. However, validating the product with WCAG manually whenever changes were made to the various corners of the product was time-consuming and painful.

The Solution

As a person responsible for the user experience, my solution was to create a script that runs the basic WCAG checks in the build process whenever a push is made to the relevant sections of the product.

The End result

When the script was done and running in the pipeline, it helped to remove manual labor from our workflows, and we could ensure that at least the minimum accessibility requirements would pass.
